Physical Inventory Reconciliation Step 2 of 7 - Printing the Worksheet |
Printing the Worksheet (PIS #1). The worksheet is simply a listing of all inventory and/or customer owned items in a particular program. The worksheet lists the items in the program, including the item number and description, the bin location, and a space for the written entry of the actual inventory counts. The last column is titled "D". If an item is discontinued, a "Y" will print in this column. After the worksheet is printed for a program, it is time to count the items on the shelves in the warehouse. This count must be accurate. The old adage "Garbage In, Garbage Out" is very true. If the counts are not accurate, the posting will not be accurate and the Physical Inventory will be invalid. The physical counts should be written in the blank space under the column Actual Quantity.
