Ship Via Code Maintenance, on the Order Processing Set-up (SEO) menu, enables you to delete, modify, or add shipping modes which are available to the operator at Order Entry when in the "Ship To" area of the order.  The following choices appear after selecting this option:

Select the option Standard File Maintenance.

Press F2 to display current shipping codes on file.  Using your cursor keys, highlight the code you want to view or maintain and press [ENTER].

CREATING SHIPPING CODES

To create a shipping code, enter the alpha-numeric character, 4 being the maximum number of characters accepted.  You're asked if you want to create a shipping code.  Respond by pressing Y.  Type in the description that will print on the order form parts and on your customer's invoice.  It will be necessary for you to add local couriers that your company uses most frequently.  The Ship Via Codes supplied with the system can be deleted or changed if needed.  This is a mandatory field when entering an order.
