Monthly Item Sales History Maintenance

 

Monthly Item Sales History Maintenance enables the modification of an item's sales history and/or the loading of the sales history for a program item not presently set up in the EZZ system.

 

If, for example, an item is in a program that is loaded in the database of another system, this utility will assist in the transfer of not only the item and its setup, but also the item's history, including, quantity purchased, number of POs, dollar amount of the purchases, quantity sold, number of selling orders, and the dollar amount of the sales.

 

If changes are made to the monthly item sales history and the changes are found to be in error, the changes may be cancelled as long as the user is still in the utility.  Once the user exits the utility, the changes are permanent until the next change.  Because of this, it is recommended that a screen print of the Monthly Item Sales History Maintenance screen be made before making any changes and after the changes are made.  The screen prints should be retained with the inventory working papers as a record of the manual change to the item sales and/or purchase history.

 

If the item is to be reset to zero and all sales and purchases history be purged from the screen, press "R " to reset all numbers to zero.  This should only be done after a screen print is done.  This screen print should be retained with the inventory working papers as a paper trail of the reset.

 

This screen has multiple uses.  If a sales department is paid a bonus on the sales of a particular item, or group of items, this screen may be used to keep tabs on the sales of the item(s) for bonus purposes.

 

It is for this reason, and a multitude of others, that we recommend this option's security be set at a fairly high level.
