Item Number Change enables the modification or change of an item number.  The utility changes the item numbers on open and closed orders.

Change Setup

Program ID.  The prompt will read Enter Program ID, ?=Display, F4=End.  Enter the program ID for the item number to be changed or enter "?" to display all programs in the system.  After the program ID is entered, the system will prompt Is This the Correct Program/Catalog (Y/N)?

Type.  The prompt will read Enter the Item Class (C=Co-op, F=Fulfill/Inventory), F4=End.  Enter the item class of the item number to be changed. 

Item No.  The prompt will read Enter Item Number, ?=Display.  Enter the item number of the item to be changed.  If the item number is not known, enter "?" to display the list of items setup under the program ID entered.  Choose the item number to change by selecting the sequence number to the left of the item number.  The description will display automatically. 

New Item Number.  Enter the new item number.

Open.  When the system changes the item numbers on open orders, the system will display a "Y" in the open column.

Closed.  When the system changes the item numbers on closed orders, the system will display a "Y" in the closed column.

At the end of the option, the system will ask Verify Change (Y/N).  If the change information is correct, enter "Y".  If incorrect, enter "N" and return to the beginning to start again.

Change item number should be set at a fairly high security level.
