General Ledger Daily General Ledger Transaction Audit |
The Daily General Ledger Transaction Audit is a critical element of any General Ledger. It provides a summarized list of all transactions gathered in the General Ledger Transaction File. It includes posting by date, register, source, batch number, General Ledger account number and description and posting amounts represented by either a debit or credit entry. By printing the Daily General Ledger Transaction Audit each day, an administrator can carefully review the activity of each application and register prior to updating the activity. By updating the Daily General Ledger Transaction Audit, the system moves all business transactions to the General Ledger accounts in either a debit or a credit amount, thus clearing the transaction file. The Daily G/L Transaction Audit must be filed and saved so that an audit trail is maintained as to what Journal Entries were created by each register.
The information that appears on the Daily General Ledger Transaction Audit is not magical. Each entry can be traced back to the original register where it was created. The system simply takes the information that is processed and converts it into either a debit or credit transaction format for the General Ledger to understand. Whether a controller, a bookkeeper or an accounting novice with the desire to learn how to manage a General Ledger, accounting is simplified and manageable using the EZZ General Ledger Subsystem.
NOTE: THE DAILY GENERAL LEDGER TRANSACTION AUDIT SHOULD BE SET AT A FAIRLY HIGH SECURITY LEVEL.
