Customer Reports Customer Type Code Maintenance |
Customer Type Code Maintenance allows the entry of a type code to the customer More screen that categorizes your customer base by industry. This option is also located on the SER menu under Customer Type Code Maintenance.
This is a user definable maintenance option and may be utilized to classify customers by product line, sales volume, or geographic location. These type codes are used in reporting, listing, and label printing.
Type codes may also be used in tandem with the customer group codes to segment your customer base for reporting, sales promotions and sales prospecting by industry or geographic location.
There are many customer type codes preset for you, however, they may be deleted or modified. One customer type code is assigned in the Customer Master File Creation Defaults and may be modified independently in each Customer Master File Maintenance M=More screen when they are set up. The customer More screen must be modified if the customer type code is deleted from Customer Master File Creation Defaults.
When you select this option from the menu, the following choices appear on the screen:
1. Standard File Maintenance
2. File Maintenance within Limits
3. Print Terminal Image
Select option #1. Standard File Maintenance.
Pressing F2 will display the current terms codes on file. Using your cursor keys, highlight the code you want to view or maintain and press Enter.
