Customer Sales History Maintenance

 

Customer Sales History Maintenance is used to maintain and change the statistical sales history for any of your customers. This may be used if any problems are found where, due to errors, the sales statistics did not copy to the customer's account. 

 

 

Maintenance Setup

 

Customer Number.  Enter the customer number of the customer whose sales history is to be maintained.  To display a list of the customers setup in the system, enter "?" to display the Customer Number window.  Select the customer to maintain by entering the sequence number to the left of the customer number. 

 

Other search methods may also be utilized to select a customer number.  Enter "*" to search the customers based on Alpha Sort, Zip Code, Phone Number, ASI Number, Impact Number, Salesman Number, or Account Number.  Each of these selections allows the entry of Spacebar to display a search window that enables the search of the customers by the particular search mode entered.

 

Year.  Enter the year in which the sales statistics are to be modified.  Any year from current year to the past five (5) years may be modified.  In this era of mergers and down sizing, a corporate customer may close a division.  The sales statistics for the division to be closed may be merged with the corporate customer.  The other reasons may include the consolidation of two divisions or a business acquisition.

 

To cancel any changes made to the customer's sales history screen, press "C".  This must be done while still in the screen.  Once the screen is exited, the changes are permanent.

 

To reset the entire screen to zero, enter "R".  This is usually only used when the statistics from you old system are being entered into the EZZ system and an error is made causing the operator to want to start over.

 

It is imperative that this menu option be set at a fairly high security.  With one keystroke, the customer sales statistics are gone and cannot be replaced.  It is also suggested that this screen be printed prior to making any changes.  This will allow for the numbers to be reset to their original state should an error be made.  It is from this information that customer comparison and sales volume reporting is tabulated.
